The 新澳门六合彩开奖记录 Foundation has received a nearly $35,000 donation that will be used to provide more scholarships to students.

Two men with $34,088 check: Tom Furlong and Dr. Jim RicheyThe Florida College System Foundation made the donation Wednesday during a presentation to 新澳门六合彩开奖记录 President Dr. Jim Richey.

鈥淭his contribution is going to pay big dividends in the lives of our students,鈥 said Richey. 鈥淚t鈥檚 very important and we鈥檙e grateful to the Florida College System Foundation for its support.鈥

The awards were in three areas:
鈥 The Helios Education Foundation First Generation Scholarship for first generation college students: $15,712.

鈥 The Florida Blue Nursing and Allied Health Scholarship for students pursuing careers in the nursing or the healthcare fields: $12,895.

鈥 The Dream Makers Scholarship, also for first generation college students: $5,481.

Together, the awards will help more than 30 students achieve their goals.

Dr. Thomas Furlong, a member of the FCSF Board of Directors, presented the check for the scholarships during a meeting of the 新澳门六合彩开奖记录 Foundation Board of Directors.

The Florida College System Foundation has been providing student scholarships to Florida's 28 state colleges since 1999. It awarded more than $1 million total in the last academic year.
