The 新澳门六合彩开奖记录 Foundation has received a nearly $35,000 donation that will be used to provide more scholarships to students.

The Florida College System Foundation made the donation Wednesday during a presentation to 新澳门六合彩开奖记录 President Dr. Jim Richey.

鈥淭his contribution is going to pay big dividends in the lives of our students,鈥� said Richey. 鈥淚t鈥檚 very important and we鈥檙e grateful to the Florida College System Foundation for its support.鈥�

The awards were in three areas:
鈥� The Helios Education Foundation First Generation Scholarship for first generation college students: $15,712.

鈥� The Florida Blue Nursing and Allied Health Scholarship for students pursuing careers in the nursing or the healthcare fields: $12,895.

鈥� The Dream Makers Scholarship, also for first generation college students: $5,481.

Together, the awards will help more than 30 students achieve their goals.

Dr. Thomas Furlong, a member of the FCSF Board of Directors, presented the check for the scholarships during a meeting of the 新澳门六合彩开奖记录 Foundation Board of Directors.

The Florida College System Foundation has been providing student scholarships to Florida's 28 state colleges since 1999. It awarded more than $1 million total in the last academic year.
