Harris Foundation Creates Scholarships for Public Safety Institute Students

A $10,000 donation from the Harris Foundation will help women and minority students at the 新澳门六合彩开奖记录 Public Safety Institute realize their goals of careers in public service.

The donation to the 新澳门六合彩开奖记录 Foundation will create a $1,000 scholarship specifically for students pursuing Public Safety Institute degrees or certifications, funding awards for up to 10 students.

鈥淗arris recognizes the importance of supporting education in our communities,鈥� said Nino DiCosmo, president of Harris Public Safety and Professional Communications. 鈥淕iving students the ability to gain a deep understanding of the mission-critical technology used in public safety will help prepare these future public safety professionals for success.鈥�

During the last academic year, the 新澳门六合彩开奖记录 Foundation provided more than $574,000 in scholarship awards to 600 students. However, the need is great and many students remain unfunded.
